What should I expect from a Holistic Massage?

A Holistic Massage is an approach to massage and not a specific technique. It basically means it's person-centred and I will tailor everything to your needs, rather than use a routine.

Read more about how to prepare and what to expect from your massage below.

What oil do you use, and will it get on my hair?

I normally use Biotone Advanced Therapy Massage Gel by Relaxus

When working at The Treatment Rooms I use their oil. Please contact them for more information.

Normally some oil will get in your hair, but if you'd rather not we can avoid the area around your neck and shoulders.

What if I have a medical condition?

I can tailor a massage treatment to most medical conditions, however there are exceptions that might require your GP's approval. If unsure, please check with your doctor.

On the day we will discuss how your condition affects you and start slow if neede.

Contact me if you have any questions.

How do I get to TrainHers?

The address is 22 Kellaway Ave, Bristol BS6 7XR.

There are bus stops for the 505 and the 13 nearby.

There is sometimes parking space outside the gym, but there is also plenty of on-road parking nearby.

How much will I have to undress?

Only as much as you're comfortable with, and I will cover any areas I'm not working on with a sheet/drape at all times.

Most people remove all clothes down to their briefs/pants for easy access, but if needed I can perform a treatment above clothes.

Please make sure to remove all watches and jewellery for your treatment.

How do I get to The Treatment Rooms?

The address is 14 Park Row, Bristol BS1 5LJ.

There are bus stops for the 3X, 72a, B1, and U1 Unibus nearby.

There is very limited paid on-street parking around, but also the Trenchard Street Car Park. It costs £3 for 2 hours.

The day before your session, please make sure you have filled in my COVID screening & Consultation form to help me keep you, myself, and others safe and to maximise your time on the table.

On the day, please try to:

- Arrive on time (we will finish at the agreed upon time regardless of any delays)

- Wear clean, comfortable and easy-to-remove clothes & minimal jewellery

- Bring a mask with you

- Take a shower and brush teeth

- Skip or keep make-up light (It'll all end up on the cushion otherwise!)

- Bring your own water bottle and snacks, if needed

Here is a quick rundown of what will happen during your session:

- The massage area will be clean, disinfected, and prepared for your arrival.

- We will sit by the massage table and have a quick chat about how you're feeling and what you'd like from your massage. If it is your fist time this chat might be a bit longer.

- I will wear a mask throughout your massage and I will ask you to put yours on when face-up, unless exempt.

- After our chat I will briefly leave the room as you get undressed (usually down to briefs/pants) and get between the drapes with your face in the cradle.

- If you'd rather not get on the massage table or would prefer to keep your clothes on, I can also offer a chair massage alternative.

- I'll knock on the door, and if you're ready the massage will begin!

I hope to see you for a massage soon, and if you have any questions in the meantime, please contact me!
